Most time people do jump into, or from one relationship to another way too quickly. I agree, that we need to take the time after a break-up to regroup ourselves; become familiar with ourselves and our oneness, once again. We need to be able to process all the steps of grieving, before we could possibly more on to a lasting relationship with another person. We need to regain and rebuild our self-esteem, because no matter whether you are the person leaving or the one left behind, you both have feelings of failure to deal with. A rebound relationship is only a bandage and make-up, for disguise for the feelings we are feeling inside. Just in the same way that people use alcohol and drugs, to cover up and escape what they are feeling. Eventually, you either die, or you have to face yourself eventually, but with much more baggage picked up along the way. Very good article. 3.) It was Jacob who God chose to use, not Esau
4.) It was Joseph who God chose to use, not his older brothers
5.) It was David God chose to use, not his older brothers

Even you were to lose everything here, you’re always a child of God (assuming you’re a Christian)

Most importantly, you have a family of Christians to lean on.
